Custom Firetruck Storage Table
For work, play and tidying away.
This was a prototype of a design I had in mind for creating children’s storage and play units. With the aim of producing these in various styles and features. The frame is a simple wooden frame over which 15mm plywood is then secured to. The front end has sections for toys to play in and then a sliding door for storage, and a roller blind which was deconstructed and then reassembled with a silver heavy duty material over which I drew lines to make it look like the steel roller doors on a fire engine. Between the sliding door and roller section provides ample storage for books and games.
The back end lifts up with legs folding out to turn it into a desk. An added feature is the black chalk board paint so that it can be used for colouring and drawing whether flat as a desk or in its normal position. This work out so well my son decided he wanted it.
