A removeable outdoor shower
A long term client spoke about wanting an external shower, interesting I thought, but as we discussed the design and practicalities we worked out that the shower itself could not be attached to the property as the building is a grade 1 listed. This means that planning application would have to be sort and the process would take ages and might not even be approved.
I suggested that the unit be made in sections which can then be easily assembled and only takes 10 mins to put together. The design is simple, using corrugated galvanised roofing sheet for the back board and polycarbonate sheet for the sides. The client already had a vintage copper shower head which does complements the painted wood and galvanised roofing sheet.
One aspect which was super interesting was laying the Moroccan hand made tiles which do add a fantastic colour and pattern to the whole design.
