A set of supports for a shade sail
This was an interesting project as a long time client wanted a sail shade but couldn’t find one he liked. So I designed a simple system that could easily be taken down after the summer has faded and the autumn winds and storms kick in. The idea was to have 2 concrete pads upon which plates welded with a support to locate the main posts which then with some strong cable and bottle screws and carabiners attach the sail shade easily and efficiently.
The only tricky part was welding the plate and support as the angle needed to be exact for the distance between the ends of the sail shades, but also between the wall and the supports. It works a treat and performs as well as I expected and more importantly, which the clients love.
